Jul. 19th, 2005 04:24 pmYesterday- I had an allergic reaction and my eye swelled up. I didn't go to work as a result but I lay around and finished writing a crappy story which included some good details about treeplanting.
Today- I got a great haircut and then went to a job interview, which went fairly well. However, I found out that a person I know and like also got an interview for the same position. This is the third time that I have competed against someone I know for a job, which is not a pleasant experience.
I must add, that even though it is warm out, I did wear a summer weight cardigan to the interview. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] has told me about the job interview clothing rule. We have deduced that the rule is to wear clothing with buttons. A blazer with buttons and button down shirt show that you are extremely serious. Since it was too hot to wear that, I wore a cardigan with a few buttons over a tank top, which, according to our rule, shows that I was serious about the position.
