I got hired by Northern Reforestation, which is the treeplanting company that I wanted to get hired by. So I'm going to go with them, and say adios to the first company. Northern has a great reputation, plus they really want good camp cohesion and I like the way they operate.

Northern advocates a training program which helps strengthen your wrists so you can prevent repetitive strain injury. I have to go pick up my new Theraband today, and begin my training program this week. I'm glad they take these kind of initiatives.

I will go to camp by bus on May 10. First camp is in northern Saskatchewan. We'll stay there for a few weeks, then drive to Slave Lake in northern Alberta. We'll get to take helicopters up north to the camp. Planting season will be done at the end of July.

How much does a treeplanter earn?
It sounds like hard, enjoyable labor!
