I definitely thought of Qui-Gon. I also wondered why Bruce's martial arts training was ninjitsu specifically, but eh. The popular stereotype of a ninja is basically of a superhero already, so it kind of fits. Murphy's lips were too protuberant for me, but his hairdo and suit kept reminding me of the bad lawyer from "Angel".
