1. Joy of Living by Yonguy Mingyur Rinpoche- A book combining science and Buddhism, and how you can increase joy in your life by living compassionately. THis was an extremely dense book so I had to read captures of it in small sections. However, I really enjoyed it.

2. Peony in Love by Lisa See- There were some interesting historical details and aspects to this book, but it just didn't do it for me. I didn't like the whole ghost/possession/love sick thing. Much preferred "Snow flower and the secret fan."

3. The Purple Cow by Seth Godin- One of the best marketing related books I've ever read. STraight, short, catchy and to the point. I wish I'd read this in marketing class.

4. How to save the world in your own spare time by Elizabeth May- This practical little book tells you how to alert the media, circulate a petition or manage a meeting. Some interesting details, but some boring sections too.

5. Girls of Riyadh by Rajaa Alsanea- Sex and the City, Arabic style. This book tells the story of 4 women and their dating adventures in Saudi Arabia. Started off culturally interesting, then became incredibly dull. Sigh.
