Just wondering if you could give me some advice on how to start freelancing...I've never actually done it before, although I've written some articles on people that i've found interesting. What's the general procedure? Do I write it first, then submit it hoping somewhere will take it? Do I write to the editor with an idea? Do I need to show them samples of previous work? I'm more than a little scared of the whole thing, but I really want to start doing it instead of procrastinating by working other jobs.
wish i could, but I am leaving for Banff tomorrow morning! I will be back though, as soon as I tire of the immense mountains of snow and -30 degree weather.
