A customer recommended this awesome website to me yesterday Global Freeloaders . He was a cool older guy that loved reading about travelling and adventure. He reminded me of my dad.

I'm debating with myself whether to sign up as a host, even though I don't think I'll be in a position to take advantage of the visitor thing anytime soon. Really the only thing holding me back is that while I'm sure most people using the service would be very friendly & trustworthy individuals, I'd be concerned about opening my home to someone who might steal or hurt me or my roommates in some way. I'm not sure how well you can gauge that kind of thing over email. I'll talk it over with my roommate, though!

I'm certain I've heard of a similar service before, too. I think [livejournal.com profile] suhl posted about it ages ago. I can't think of the name right now, though!

What I neglected to say at the beginning of that post was: Cool site! Thank you for pointing it out! :)

I knew it started with an S, but that was all I could remember! I will bookmark it this time!
