The new issue of Bust features an article with the creator of Sweet Valley High, Francine Pascal.

I always thought that she didn't exist, like Carolyn Keene. Am confused now. Surely she, at least, didn't write all of those books?!

No, she created the characters and the "plot bible." She has, however, written some other books and created new series.
