It's a good thing that yesterday's headache from hell has gone away, because the construction crew started drilling outside our house at 7 a.m.

Fuck.

Anyway, I'm awake so I might as well talk about my very dancey weekend, which featured no actual dancing from me.

On Friday, [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I went to see "Take the lead", which is the new movie featuring Antonio Banderas as Pierre Dulaine, the guy who basically founded the Dancing Classrooms program. This movie is a lot of fun, if you like cheesy dance movies featuring teenagers and a lot of good dancing. Both of us were seriously considering tango lessons after watching it.

On Saturday, I actually had an evening off, which was unusual. I ended up being solo, as B* wasn't feeling well and wanted to be alone to rest and read. (That's a sentiment I understand.) Instead of staying home, I went to the open house at Harbour Dance, where I watched some excerpts of their upcoming "West Side Stories" production, which is a version of West Side story featuring modern dance and music. The numbers were high energy and featured a lot of "call and answer" and mock fighting. Excellent!

This icon is for you, by the way, since you're the only person who could appreciate this one.

She was good, actually. The character was shy and such, so she was quite unlike Paige. I was happy for her.
