1. The Business of Being born- Holy crap, I really, really liked this movie. This is a documentary about birth, and the commodification of birth in the United States. It made me angry, it made me feel passionate and it made me think.
2. The Pineapple Express- What a crap ass movie. I like both Seth Rogen and James Franco, but I did not like this film.
3. Man on Wire- I'm glad that I finally saw this, but very happy that I didn't see it in a theatre because I nearly barfed during one shot. This is a documentary about a crazy Parisian wire walker who decided to walk in between the Twin towers in the 1970s. It has great documentary footage and is really a movie about dreams and achievement. I thought it was wonderful film.
4. The Reader- Some great performances, and I loved all the reading stuff, but this is not my pic for best picture. I loved Kate Winslet and I thought David Kross was under rated, but I still thought the film was a bit uneven.
5. Splendor in the Grass- This movie was horribly frustrating and made me really glad that I live in an era where we can express a more healthy sexuality. I thought this was a very interesting film since it dealt with teen sexual mores, and I realized that I really love Natalie Wood. I added more of her films to my Zip list.

And is it out on video? I went to a special screening and they didn't know at that time when it would be released.
