(no subject)
I am thrilled to announce that Beijing has been taken off the SARS list. I was thinking about this yesterday. I fly home in about a month, and I have to fly through Beijing. I have a non transferrable ticket, and the airline person told me that I shouldn't be worried, since I will only be in the Beijing airport for 4 hours.
However, my overactive imagination was envisioning all sorts of wicked scenarios of getting quarantined when I get to Vancouver.
I was picturing best and worse case scenarios-
Best- I get to sit in a comfy hotel room where I can eat broccoli, drink a mochacinno, read the new Harry Potter and watch season 3 Buffy episodes.
Worst- Get locked in a quarantine where I am fed bread and water.
Well, it looks like I don't have to worry about this any more.

New photos and an observation
I have added some new photos to my album.

1st set- a view at Terelj heritage park, some old people at Ganden temple, a Mongolian boy riding a horse, and two kids sitting in some dirt outside Ulaan Baatar
2- a temple at Ganden. Note the monk in the top window
3- A close up of a prayer wheel at Ganden.
Mongolian men have this weird habit of pulling their shirts up when it's hot out. They fold the shirts up and expose their bellies. It looks like they are wearing crop tops.
