(no subject)

I got an email on Friday from one of my best friends in high school. I wonder if all the talk of our ten year reunion made her think of me. We've sort of lost touch. In the past few years, she's gotten married and now has a five month old daughter.

This news makes me feel old and young at the same time.

I wasn't feeling well yesterday so I spent most of the day in bed reading. Then I went to bed early and slept for 11 hours, so I feel much better today.

Nobody puts Diego in a corner

Went to see "Dirty Dancing- Havana Nights" with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and our friend Tim. I was expecting nothing, so I was fairly amused. Nice outfits and some corny stuff that made me laugh. Diego is hot and his mere presence onscreen makes my loins all quivery, and not because I want to dance with him. I would still give it a 2 out of 5, but eh, whatever.

However, if I'd written the movie, I would have added more of a plot and more of Diego's body. I would have taken all the politics out of it. Contrary to popular opinion in this film, Cubans did not invent hip hop, nor do they sing in English in a Cuban club.

Next week- Viggo on a horse. (Just kidding)

Tonight I'm off to see Broken Social Scene with the Stills.
