Frida the movie

Last night I went to see "Frida."

Didn't expect to like it, but I really did. Salma Hayek sizzled on the screen, and Alfred Molina was good too. I liked the "dream" type sequences and wished they would have had more of them. It was a beautiful movie. Of course, it did have some faults, but it was better than I was expecting, and I enjoyed it.

All the sex scenes were really steamy. The movie was true to both Diego and Frida's relationship, and her sensual nature, which to me were probably too of the most important things.

Ophrah is re-launching her book club, this time with classic books.

I am feeling better today.

friends....

Last night I went to the movie by myself. I'm only in Ottawa for two months, so I don't have any friends here. I spend a lot of time alone and sometimes I get lonely.

There were a lot of people in the theatre by themselves. I get lonely but that's just because I've been moving around like a ping pong ball.

My friends might not be where I am, but I can name lots of people that are really and truly my friends.
