Apr. 1st, 2003 08:18 pmI am damn tired today. Like really tired. Anyway, yesterday was a fun day- if you think climbing up a mountain is fun. Ingrid took Bryan and I for a hike, and it was awesome. We climbed up the side of this mountain, and then through forests that looked like northern BC. I thought it was awesome, even though I was really tired at the end of the day. The Mongolian countryside is amazing.
We came across some ovoos, which are sacred piles of rock. You walk around them and throw stones or sticks on them. They often have prayer flags on them too. They are Buddhist.
There are a lot of Buddhist symbols all over Ulaan Baatar. It makes me feel at home, because of my connection with Buddhism.
Today we ran another session of worker co-op training. It was pretty interesting, except I was cold and tired. Ingrid and I are working on hooking up my Internet at home, but I need to get some new cables. I bought the wrong ones today.
I would also be happier if I could find my way around the city. I keep getting lost. Mongolians don't use street signs, which makes it harder to find your way around :)
