Just woke up. Last night I went to the foreign runner's/walker's club. It's an international club called "The Hash House Harriers". We all met at a hotel and took a bus out to the country and then walked around. Very fun.
Ria, and Dan, two students from Kate's program, were back in town and attended. Ria is very cool. She's done a lot of work in geology and such. She has gotten a grant to do some geology work here when her program ends so she'll be here until the end of August. She has also done some work on coral reefs and in Venezuala.

Dan had an okay time meditating in the caves. He celebrated his 21st birthday in a cave and the monks brought him beer. Then he got really sick and had to go to Saynshand and spend some time in the hospital.

We also talked with these American students who are doing some climate change work. They are funded by the Smithsonian. I actually found them a bit annoying. They kept talking about how bleak Mongolia is, and how bad the food is, and how the people aren't friendly, and they haven't been here a week. It sounded like they didn't appreciate things.

Anyway, the walk/run was fun and afterward we went to a German beer garden where I ate some fries which were served to me with mustard on them.
