(no subject)

Last night my friend Heather and I went to see "Mambo Italiano", which is a cute movie about an Italian guy who comes out to his family. I had no idea it was set in Montreal, so I got pretty enthusiastic when La Petite Italie appeared on the screen.

I found out last night that my short story was accepted for publication in "Striking the wok", a new anthology of fiction by Chinese Canadians. I wrote the story when I was 17. The anthology will be released in Toronto on November 26.

Heather and I went to the same high school. Next year is our 10 year reunion. Last night, I came up with a great idea. I'd like to attend my reunion with a manly, studly harem. It would be best if they could carry me in, a la Marilyn Monroe in the song number "Diamonds are a Girl's Best Friend." (For a more recent version of this song number, see Madonna's "Material Girl.")

Speaking of Montreal, Margaret Cho, and gay men

I went to look at Margaret's blog and saw the cover for "Noodle", a magazine for gay Asian men. Yes, I have a copy because who wouldn't want to look at a bunch of beautiful gay Asian men? (um, me, that's who)

The gay groups for Asians in Montreal are- GLAM (Gays and Lesbian Asians of Montreal) and the Long Yang club (for Gay Asian men)

This all just cracks me up.
