Here's what I've been up to
Oct. 5th, 2003 12:06 pm-Went to see a friend's brother's band play on Friday night. It was my first trip to see a gig since January. It was fun, but strange. I spent a lot of time talking to this German guy who is friends with my friend Erin. He made the observation that the women of Saskatoon seem to carry extremely large handbags.
- Erin's little brother, who is in the band, seems like a sweet little emo boy. Aww.
- I took the beastie boy to the vet to get his shots and check up. He was extremely well behaved. He's getting neutered this week.
- I watched "Better luck tomorrow", which is a really good but disturbing movie about some Asian American high school students who turn to crime.
-I'm working on a story about small businesses in Saskatoon for Planet S magazine.
-I applied for a job as a Communications officer with the Homeowner Protection Office in Vancouver.
-I found out that my father was pickpocketed in Paris, but he managed to get his wallet back.
-I'm reading "Caramelo" by Sandra Cisneros, which is beautiful, but took me some time to get into.
It's been so gorgeous here that I can walk around without a jacket on, which is nice.
[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], I received the copy of National Geographic you mailed to me. I haven't read the article yet, but I did read and enjoyed the article you emailed to me. Thanks so much!!
