Feb. 8th, 2004 09:58 amMan, I haven't been to a good live show in a while. I used to go so frequently, and I've really fallen off it in the past few years. It's partly due to financial reasons and the fact that living in Wainwright and overseas were not conducive to seeing good live music.
I think part of the reason why I don't go as much is because I actually have to pay. That's one of the benefits of dating a sound tech. You can sneak your way into all sorts of shows. But I wouldn't trade my happiness now for all those free shows.

Today I'm going to a three hour writing workshop put on by Fred Stenson, an award winning Canadian writer. I have no idea what we'll be doing at the workshop, but it should probably be enlightening. I read Fred's book on approaching narrative and writing good stories, and really liked the ideas in it. So hopefully this workshop will rev up my jets a little, or at least give me a chance to connect with some of the members of the Saskatchewan Writers Coop and Writers Guild.
