Apr. 18th, 2004 09:10 pmI haven't written much about what I've been reading lately. In the past few weeks, I've been re-reading a lot of short stories and novels that I'd read before.
However, I have also read-
1.
"You're an animal, Viskovitz" by Alessandro Boffa- a hilarious collection of fables about a character who goes through life as a variety of animals. Funny, creative, whimsical, and biologically informative.
2. "Midnight at the Dragon Cafe" by Judy Fong Bates- a great story about a young Chinese girl whose family moves to Canada to run a restaurant in small town Ontario. The girl uncovers some dark secrets about her family and her family history. A nice coming of age story.
3. "A room with a view" by E.M. Forster- I read this for the chicklit.com classic book club and really liked it. I missed some of the details because I'm not used to reading this style of novel, but I loved the general themes, the characters and some of the lines in the book were so damn quotable. I'll definitely read it again.

I'm still working on getting all my treeplanting gear together. Today I went on a bike ride, and went to see the school art and skateboard exhibit at the art gallery.
