A bunch of good things...
Oct. 7th, 2004 09:15 am[Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I finally tried pupusas at the El Salvadorean restaurant last night. They were okay, but not amazing. They're little pancake things stuffed with cheese, beans and meat (if you like meat, that is). I was curious to try them. We then went to see "One man star wars", performed by Charles Ross, at Granville island. I proceeded to get us lost on our quest for tickets, but we made the show right on time. It was a great performance. I can't say if I prefer "One man LOTR" or "One Man Star Wars". It was hilariously funny. If you ever get a chance and you're a big Star Wars fan, go see this show. Our experience seeing "One Man Star Wars" was more visceral, since we were sitting much closer to the stage. We were able to see all the sweat and spit flying off Charles Ross. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] said that she was quite happy that we did not sit in the front row.
After this, I took [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] to "The Granville Book Company" which is one of my favourite bookstores in Vancouver.
I came home to find that one of my roommates had bought us a VCR. I'm not sure if I can program it, as it looks quite old, but still, I can watch movies at home now. Yay!
I also learned that [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I have tickets to go see Le Tigre in November. Yay!
Two more days of work and then I'm off to Victoria to spend Thanksgiving with the relatives and see the Eternal Egypt exhibit. Yay!
One bad item- I think I'm getting a cold. Boo!
