blue_lotus13Do you ever have an incident when you (re)discover a song? My mother recently sent me a copy of "Genius loves company", which is a collection of duets done by Ray Charles and other great artists. I've fallen in love with the song It was a very good year , sung by Ray Charles and Willy Nelson. The mood captured in this song sort of sums up the way that I want to live my life, savouring each year, and each experience and focussing on the good in my life and around me.
*Although I don't necessarily need all the different women mentioned in the song. I just want the sense of enjoyment. Now I want to hear the Frank Sinatra version of the song.
Edited to add- Robbie Williams has also recorded a version of this song. (makes gagging noise) I DESPISE Robbie Williams. He is the ultimate wanker.
