blue_lotus13I attended a party last night for Gung Haggis volunteers. The Ricepaper people were sadly underrepresented as many of them were working on deadline. The only people present were me, B*, Heather, Don and Jim and Mrs. Jim Wong Chu. (Finally, a sighting of her!) There were actually only about 40 people in attendance in total, but it was still an interesting crowd. There were some members from the Dragonboat team including the coach (who worked on special effects with the CBC) a voice teacher who was the voice of "The Mummy", a woman from City TV, a singer and other interesting folk. The food was pretty good too. I did sample deep fried haggis wonton, but skipped on the haggis itself. We also addressed the haggis and the voice teacher and I read a poem written by Jim Wong Chu, while accompanied by an accordion. All in all, it was a fun, and multicultural evening.
