1. Name a book that you want to share so much that you keep giving away copies.
That's easy. The book is "The Namesake" by Jhumpa Lahiri. I've given a copy to my mom, <user site="livejournal.com" user=" "farpotshket"> and <user site="livejournal.com" user=" "mirabillia">. And they all loved it.
2. Name a piece of music that changed the way you listen to music.
I can't really name a piece of music, but I dated a sound tech for about 4 and a half years. This influenced the way I listen to music more than anything. I'm very picky about sound. I can hear when things are poorly mixed, and when I hear live music that sounds like crap, I will let you know. I'm very picky about sound quality and mixing.
3. Name a film you can watch again and again without fatigue.
There are several- American Pie, Stand by Me, The Joy Luck Club, Almost Famous and The Wizard of Oz. I've seen all of these movies a fair number of times. (If I catch them on tv, I'd probably stare transfixed at "Point Break", "Bill and Ted's" and "The Princess Bride.")
4. Name a performer for whom you suspend all disbelief.
Keanu Reeves. He's very pretty, but can't act. Oh, and Leo too. I think he's a great actor, and I'm willing to believe that he's whatever he's pretending to be.
5. Name a work of art you'd like to live with.
I'm not really a material type of person. I like books and I like cds and I don't really own much else. But if I had a place of my own, I would like a chaise lounge and an Underwood typewriter in my writing room.
6. Name a work of fiction that has penetrated your real life
Oh god, this was a hard question. I finally settled on "Charlotte's Web" because of the line "It is rare to find someone who is a good friend and a good writer. Charlotte was both."
I try to be both, too.
7. Name a punch line that always makes you laugh.
I almost always laugh when I hear "Nobody puts baby in a corner" or "I mock you with my monkey pants." Heh.
