The universe of mind...

My mind has been so busy lately. I feel like it's an overstuffed suitcase as it continues to move so fast, and have so many thoughts. I think it's because I'm going through the intense period of finishing here and starting something new. And I'm trying to come to grips with the intensity of this trip.
Anyway, I've been having a lot of trouble sleeping because my brain feels so wild.
When I can't sleep, the following poem comes into my head.
-"I do not sleep at night.
Rain does not lull me,
and the bitter wind is always out of tune,
when there is wind, or moon enough for light."
(We studied this in high school. I have no clue who wrote it.)
My thoughts are tumbling water right now and quotes keep on flying through my head, moving like stars through space.
"It's been hard, the writing lately. It all comes in beautiful fragments, like nods. (So high) I guess I'd rather sleep this sleep and forget. But the gnats, they keep buzzing in my ear. And the sleep and the dreams...." - Jim Carroll, "The Basketball Diaries."
"If I knew what I was doing, I'd be doing it right now. I would be the best damn poet, silver words out of my mouth. Well my words might not be magic, but they cut straight to the truth. So if you need a lover or a friend, baby I'm in." -Radney Foster, "I'm in"
I think it would be fascinating to be able to look at all the facets of memories contained in someone's brain. If it was possible to spread a mind on the floor, what would you be able to see? Coud you see their memories? The time they skinned their knee? A first kiss? The sound of their mother's voice?
If you stretched out someone's mind, I think you'd be able to see the universe.
