I have less than 2 weeks in Mongolia, so I've got a lot to do. I'm working like a mad woman on the project, because we want the first draft to be done by Friday. Anyway, here are some of the things I have to do before I leave.
1. Take pics of Lenin statue and some bizarre communist art. I'd also like to take a pic of a barbecued sheep's head.
2. Buy a Tibetan ritual dagger. The dagger goes with the bell, which I've already bought. The bell is feminine, the dagger is masculine. The dagger cuts through ignorance, and I need all the help that I can get in that area.
3. Go to Marco Polo's or a cultural centre so I can see a Mongolian contortionist (interestingly enough, Cirque de Soleil was here recruiting them)
4. Buy a bottle of vodka for the parental units.
5. Visit the winter palace of a Buddhist king.
6. On Saturday, I'm going to hike over top of 4 holy mountains, which should be interesting.
7. Say goodbye to friends, Doki etc by dinner and dancing etc.
8. Clean and move out of apartment and into Ingrid's for the last couple of days.
God, that's a lot of stuff.
