ooh! me and a friend want to live in East Van. i'm willing to just marry a Canadian friend who tours the U.S. often, so that we both can come and go. but my other pal, i think, would want to do things "right."

thanks for the info!

Hmmm... if they are trying to avoid lawsuits, why not just let the people that applied before the changes get in at 67+ points and anyone who applied after the changes get in at 75+ points... not a difficult concept... oh, I forgot, this is the government. Dorks.

I tried to get dual citizenship as my Mom was born in Austria (she is now an American citizen who has lived in Canada for the past 30+ years). Unfortunately, before 1982, only children of men that were born in Austria could apply. After 1982, they changed that to either parent but only for people that were born after 1982. More government dorks.

PS. afroflighty: tell your friend doing things 'right' will cost her a crapload of money and time and is a pain in the ass. Claim refugee status, with Arnold in the running to be your Governor, I'm sure you guys would get in no problem! ;oD

i'm all for marriage. i said to that cute Canadian friend of mine, "marry me, so that we can both go back and forth. we don't have to sleep together or anything." he paused, leered at me and said, "we could..."

oh, Canada!

bwahahahahahaha!
