Did I mention that I love pirated cds....
May. 2nd, 2003 03:49 pmI went out of my apartment today. Checked on the puppy. She was still there, but her belly looks better. I gave her a little bit of bread, and she curled up around my feet.
I swang on the swing in the playground for a while.
Then since I've decided that I need more happy music, I went to the cd store, and got Madonna's greatest hits volume 2. It has some of the songs from "Ray of Light" on it.
The entire "Ray of Light" cd reminds me of a time when I housesat for a friend and I lived in this apartment and kissed some boys and snuggled with a cat and rode my bike around town, and felt free and happy and healed from having my heart broken for the very first time. So this is a great cd to have.
I walked around the square and looked at more grads dressed in their finery. It's so weird to have graduates all around. Did I mention that Mongolian women are amazingly beautiful? There are some attractive men, but the women are drop-dead gorgeous. It's like living in a country full of models.
I also saw some fortune tellers. They are these old men who sit near the square and tell fortunes using malas (Buddhist beaded necklaces), coins or stones. I want to get my fortune told. I'm very interested in fortune telling since I read "A fortune teller told me" by Tenziano Tirzani. It's a book about an Italian journallist who is told that he should refrain from flying in a plane for a year, as if he does, he will die in a plane crash.
The journallist takes the challenge, and travels all over Asia, visiting various fortune tellers. It's a fascinating book. (He even goes to Indonesia and Mongolia.)
I will have to take Doki to help me get my fortune told.
Did lots of work today.
And I took [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] 's advice about how to deal with my nosebleeds and drank a liter of water. I feel much better.
