Yesterday I didn't update because I didn't have much to say. I went for a walk in a ger district.

It's weird that a few blocks away from me there are people living in gers without running water. Strange.

I have been SO tired lately. It's like I'm recovering from an illness. Perhaps I am, in some ways. It's nice because I have been actually
1. falling asleep
2. staying asleep

I started reading "The Quiet American" last night. So far, it's amazing. I loved the movie and the book promises to be good as well. Today I have to go to the bank and try to cash a cheque. I might need to take Doki with me. Also have to pay for plane tickets, finish transcribing interviews, and clean apartment so that my language teacher doesn't faint when she comes over.

But first, I'm going to nap.

I got an email from an old friend from high school. I bought the plane tickets. I have to go to the bank to get $ to pay my rent.

I went out for lunch and had yummy Indian food.

I've been here for 2 months now.

It rained today. It was a nice rain, warm and calm.

Ingrid came home from Moscow today. She said that Moscow was pretty awesome. The highlight of her trip was going to see Paul McCartney play a concert in Red Square. When he played "Back in the USSR", the crowd went wild.

I find it very weird that you can buy individual cigarettes here. I don't smoke, but a lot of people do. However, it's mostly the men. People also seem to be a lot more polite about smoking here than in Indonesia. In Indonesia, everyone smoked and they'd blow it in your face. I was homesick for Indonesia the other day because I was watching Indonesian music videos. I really can't tell you if I prefer Mongolia or Indonesia. I think I like them both the same, just in different ways. I feel much safer in Mongolia though. In Indonesia, I constantly felt like I was about to be robbed.

I was super productive today. I wrote my monthly internship report and finished compiling the data from our interviews. All my laundry is done, so I can pack tomorrow. My landlord is coming over to pick up my rent and the money for my electrical bill.

In upsetting news, an animal or a human has defecated in my stairwell. Eww.

This does not add up....

When I was younger, I told people that I wanted to travel around and have lovers stashed in various countries.

One part of this equation is true....
