Quote of the day- "I've never liked Doctor Seuss. The Cat in the Hat has always creeped me out. Sort of like Michael Jackson. Have you ever noticed how much the Cat in the Hat looks like Michael Jackson?

-my father.

After watching "The End of the Affair" yesterday, I have come to the conclusion that we in the 2000s do not use hats to their full potential. I love 1940s style of dress. Ball caps should not even be placed in the same clothing category as a 1940s hat.

I finished reading "Oryx and Crake". I thought it was brilliant. Atwood should be commended for her
1. storytelling skills
2. colourful use of language and word creation
3. use of science and technology

If you like speculative fiction or are interested in biotechnology, you should read this book. I think it will one day become a classic.

I recently got an email from a guy who was in a poetry class with me. He told me he was teaching in Korea. I looked up his website. I haven't seen him for a couple of years. He was in Montreal when I was there, but we lost touch.

Just by checking out his website, I can catch up on his writing, his music recordings, and his travels.

Instant pseudo reconnection...

"Kate Bush's music is an interpretation of female sexuality."

-my old boss at the music store.

I'm retyping and editing a story that I wrote a couple of years ago. I can't tell if it's good or not. I can never tell if my work is good, which really bothers me.

I think I need to have someone read all my stuff and critique it. It has to be someone that I don't have a personal relationship with.

It bothers me that sometimes I think the stories I write are dull.

I met Karissa at a craft fair in Montreal. She's a very sweet and nice girl.
