It's all about the cheese

Whee! I think I get to go home early today. My main reason for wanting to get home early? Fromage 2003, baby.

Fromage 2003 is an annual show on Much music, Canada's version of MTV. In this one hour show, VJ Ed the Sock, (who is a sock puppet with a cigar) picks the cheesiest and worst videos and critiques them in lewd and insulting ways. It just cracks me up.

It's going to be on many times during the next few weeks, but of course, I want to see the premiere!!

As I was thinking about this show, I realized how Canadian it is. This is an example of our strange, yet marketable sense of humour.

I get quite a few links from Darren these days. I first became aware of his blog when I read a comment on one of my other favourite blogs, soapboxgirls.com. I went to his blog because I realized that he was the son of one of my mother's childhood friends. (The friend passed away in the fall) Interestingly enough, it turns out that he is a technical writer, freelancer and playwright who lives in Vancouver.

This is further proof that it is a small, digital world.
