Oh surprise, let's talk about reading and writing.

I can't remember who was raving about Jhumpa Lhairi's "Interpreter of Maladies". I just finished it, and thought it was an amazing collection. I have no comments except to say that I think they were some of the best short stories I've read in a while.

I was working on one of my own short stories, and realized that I have to change the time of day in the story. I made the events happen during the day, and they need to be at night, which means major reworking. However, I'm glad I figured out the solution now. While I do have fourteen pages, I can rewrite that section, and then go on to the ending I want to create.
