Apr. 7th, 2004 09:55 amI had a busy day yesterday. I caught the bus to UBC. UBC is huge, and has a gorgeous campus. I spent a couple hours exploring the Museum of Anthropology , which showcases totem poles, dishes and carvings done by First Nations People of the Pacific Northwest. If you ever attend this museum, I strongly recommend taking a tour, as you'll learn a lot more about the museum and its displays then you will if you just go through it yourself.
I particularly liked the visual storage they have in the museum. Artifacts that aren't displayed are in glass cases, and you can use binders to find out more about these artifacts.
After this, I met up with [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] which was fun. It's always cool to meet new people, and get another perspective on Vancouver. After this [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com] and I went to see The Delicate art of parking , a mockumentary about parking enforcers that was filmed in Vancouver. It's a very creative and funny film, but it's filmed with a hand held camera, which made me feel queasy. I think I would have enjoyed it a bit more on a small screen.
