Apr. 13th, 2004 03:23 pmI've been thinking a lot about art in my life. If I wasn't a writer, I'd have to do some other kind of art. My life seems empty without it; I have a need to create or to capture. I can't imagine a life without some sort of creativity.I think I would have to be a photographer. I have an immense need to capture things.

Today I've been focussing on editorial duties, collecting books for review and corresponding with reviewers all over the country. I have a long list of projects that I have to do before I hit the bush at the start of May. I'm feeling restless; I haven't worked on any poems or short stories in three weeks and taking this time off work has left me feeling as though I'm about to disappear.
