I'm still in Slave Lake. We have been planting from town. Yesterday we planted a hill, which meant we were walking through the bush. I really hated this- it made me feel claustrophobic. My body is completely scratched up. I'm in much better shape, but my legs and arms are full of scrapes and bruises. I'm one of the slower planters; I don't have the stamina that some of the other people have.

Last night after planting, my friend Jen and I drank vodka slurpees. We poured vodka in our drinks outside the Extra Foods as our friend Justin stood look-out. I'm 27 years old, and I need a look out so I can drink :)

We're not doing much today. I went for some Chinese food, and did some laundry. I find that unlike many of the others, I need to spend a lot of time alone. Planting is stressful, and makes me sort of irritable. I need to be alone a lot, to refresh myself. I think it's good that I recognize this.

Tomorrow will be spent on the bus, driving to the mountains. The camp there is supposed to be beautiful, with fewer bugs. I'm looking forward to a new location.
