I'm currently reading "Girls who bite back" edited by Emily Pohl-Weary. It's a collection of stories, essays and comics about women superheroes. There are essays about Buffy, Angelina Jolie and underground comics, experimental stories, and drawings. There are a lot of Canadian authors here, but a few American. Emily used to edit for Broken Pencil, and I met her once. I'm enjoying this collection, even if I feel that some of the pieces are uneven, and some are much better than others.
