Nov. 7th, 2004 10:34 amLast night, I went to see Robot Stories , which is a film I've been wanting to see for a while. It came to Vancouver as part of the Vancouver Asian Film festival. I'd read good things about the film on Eurasian nation and Angry Asian man . This is filmmaker Greg Pak's first feature film, and it does not disappoint. The film's tagline is "Science fiction with heart", and I found that tagline to be extremely true. The film consists of four vignettes.
( some )
"Robot stories" has been shown at film festivals all over the world and has won over 30 awards. It's a great film for many reasons. The vignettes run like well written short stories and the acting is incredible. Since it's a pet interest of mine, I must admit that I also enjoyed the number of bi-racial actors, and the ethnic diversity of the cast.
