Sep. 13th, 2006 06:42 pmI think I'm getting a cold, so I'm staying in tonight, even though I had free tickets to the ballet. However, work is INSANE this week, so it's probably better for me to rest and drink tea rather than run around and stay out late.
Because of some administrative mistakes at the Vancouver Film Fest, I'm no longer able to volunteer for them this year, which blows. Goodbye free movie pass.
However, both of these are nothing compared to what the venue services manager at work is going through. Her mother passed away on Monday. She fell ill and was taken to the hospital, then ended up in palliative care. The whole process was only a couple of weeks.
It's good to keep things in perspective. My current misfortunes are really small annoyances in the larger picture of things.
