I was there in 1993. My best friend moved there, and her dad gave me his airmiles so I could fly down there for a visit for a month. It was pretty cool, but I didn't check out any of the nightlife or anything, because I was only 16. It was also still unstable- there were guards everywhere. However, I really liked it, and I'd like to go back.
On the way there, we got bumped from our flight, and I ended up getting another free airline ticket. I flew to France the next year, and spent a month there as well.
