The Vancouver International Writer's Festival is looking for volunteers. No holds barred! Anyone, any age, any walk of life is welcome and needed. If you have a car at your disposal, that’s even better! If you’re willing to let us pair you up with someone on our list who has a car [and has been screened], that’s awesome, and you’ll be in for a fun-filled day of giving out our Program Guides and getting to know another fellow Lower Mainlander a bit better.

There are great perks for volunteers, including free stuff [swag!], tickets, and being fed delicious food donated by Granville Island Merchants as well as off-Island companies, ranging from Rocky Mountain Chocolates to sushi. At the conclusion of the Festival there’s an awesome volunteer party for everyone who has helped us out. The whole experience is a great and rare opportunity to meet fun people and support this remarkable non-profit Festival, now in its 17th year due to people with a few spare hours and a love for the Arts.

This year the Festival dates are October 19-24th, 2004. Volunteers are needed even as soon as August, however you’re welcome to just volunteer closer to the actual Festival time.
