Yesterday I read the excellent book "The curious incident of the dog in the night-time" by Mark Haddon. This debut novel has won numerous awards, and frankly, it deserves them. It's the story of Christopher Boone, a 15-year-old boy who has Asperger's syndrome. Asperger's syndrome is a form of autism. Christopher hates to be touched, and despises certain colours. He requires order to his life, and change unsettles him. He is unable to tell the nuances of human emotion, yet has an amazing memory, and is a savant when it comes to math. In this book, he embarks on solving a murder mystery, and discovers truths and lies about his family. This is one of the best narrations I've read in a while.
