blue_lotus13Due to editorial decisions for on-high, my travel writing gig is over. It has nothing to do with my Vancouver based editor. The Toronto editors decided to change things, which means that my help is no longer needed. My editor is still paying me decently for the work I have done, but I will not be doing the full project. She has also promised to use me in her future endeavours. Needless to say, I was disappointed, but there's not much I can do. I found out yesterday, which was another reason I decided to blow off work and go see a movie. I'm feeling better today.

I'm currently working on a piece about North American Asian children's writing. As you can imagine, I'm loving this piece and might make a trip to the Children's department at the library to play, I mean, look at titles. Research, you know.

Date: 2005-02-10 07:21 pm (UTC)Have you booked your flight to Saskatoon for the spring? JetsGo is booking $1 flights from now until Feb 13 -- you still have to pay the tax and fees so it's not really like a $1 ticket but it's a heckuva lot cheaper than anything else you can book these days.
