1. Clubland by Frank Owen- More tales about club life and crime. Semi interesting, semi boring.
2. "The Glenwood Treasure" by Kim Moritsugu- a mystery book sent in a fictional neighbourhood in Toronto. I read it because I will be interviewing her in July. If I hadn't been reading this for interview purposes, I probably wouldn't have read it, so I'm glad the opportunity arose. It had good characters and a neat, slowly unravelling plot. I quite liked it.
Currently reading- "Mooncakes in gold mountain" by J. Brian Dawson. This is a book about the history of the Chinese in Alberta. It's fascinating. I had never read anything about the Chinese in Alberta, so I was quite interested. Apparently, Calgary's Chinatown had to be re-located twice.
I'm also reading "Due preparations for the plague" by Janet Turner Hospital. It's very interesting but rather creepy. Again, this isn't something I would have normally picked up, so I'm glad that I decided to read it for Chicklit book club.
Not much. On Thursday, I had a very unpleasant medical procedure done. Air was actually blown up my ass. I would not recommend it. I spent most of Thursday feeling ill.
On Friday, I felt much better so B* and I went for lunch at the Buddhist where we sampled some vegetarian dim sum dishes and I ate lots of moss. We then went to the Vancouver Interior design show which was a disappointment. It should only be attended if you want to buy really expensive furniture. After this, I was quite tired and feeling rather lethargic, so we spent the rest of the day being horizontal.
Saturday- I worked.
Sunday- My roommate hid chocolate eggs all over the house, which was awesome. I worked and then went to play games at [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com]'s, which was fun.
Today I'm doing lots of admin stuff. I applied for a job, wrote a query letter etc.
