A few strange things happened at work yesterday. I saw Wayson Choy, who was in town for a writer's conference. He actually remembered meeting me at his reading. He's incredibly sweet.
I also helped Bruce Greenwood find a book yesterday. He's actually rather good looking in person. After looking him up on the Internet, I found out that he's bought the rights to the movie version of Stanley Park . This could be a good project, or a bad project.
A girl who was doing a scavenger hunt tried to steal one of our Harry Potter posters. She was chased out by a manager and retaliated by swearing at him. It's always nice to swear at someone else when you're the one caught stealing.

Last night, B* and I went out for dinner at DV8, and then went to see Wong Kar Wai's "Days of Being Wild" at the Cinematheque. The Cinematheque is sort of like the Broadway theatre before it got re-done. The seats are not very comfortable and it needs better ventilation. The audience consisted largely of Asians and white men with beards. It was a strange crowd. The film itself was good, although I don't think I quite get Kar Wai's style. I think I need to see more of his films. This film featured a young Maggie Cheung and the hot Andy Lau (who appears in House of Flying Daggers.) I told B* that the film should have been called "Days of being an ass" because the main character was a completely despicable man.
