Do you remember Beverly the black woman sang with Mr.Dressup on his show? The Globe and Mail did a piece about her and her music. In the past 3 years, Beverly has gone through sex reassignment surgery. I find this fascinating, because even as a child, I could sense that something was off with his gender identity.

Shelagh Rogers interviewed Phynix(Glen Copeland), as he's now known, on CBC radio. It was and interesting interview and a touching story. He's been able to overcome many obstacles to become his true self. Here's the link to the show.

Wow! I do remember Beverly. And I also remember thinking something wasn't quite right there. I'm glad he's managed to figure it out for himself.
