I have been fricking sick for the past few days. I interviewed Paul Yee on Wednesday and then walked up the hill to my house and realized that I had a fever. So I spent the majority of Wednesday and Thursday on my couch. On Thursday, I had to go up to Langara to make sure that I could sign into the computers to write my exam. I was still terribly sick and was snapping at everyone because I felt like no one could help me. After signing in, (which took a minute), I went back home where I lay on the couch and studied some more.

Because of the teacher's strike and related strikes, I wasn't sure if my midterm would be on. Part of me was hoping it wouldn't happen today, just so that I could continue to rest on the couch. However, I'm here in the lab and it seems that everything is ready to go. The bus service was affected as well, so I ended up taking a cab part-way here.

I am going to be performing two poems tonight at the Colouring Book fundraiser show. It's at 9:00 at Lick's at 455 Abbott. I'll be reading first, which is great because I can go home afterward and go back to bed if I really need to. I'm still feeling nasty, but I definitely want to perform.
