General rudeness

blue_lotus13I worked another shift at the film festival yesterday. One of the events was a special screening by invite only. You had to have a free ticket to attend. Most of the people showed up at the right time, but there were people who showed up half an hour to an hour late. Some of them hadn't picked up their tickets yet, and argued with me so I would let them in.
In my previous shift at the film fest, there were also some other people who went to the movie an hour late. This, to me, is both rude and pointless. What a waste of time and money! Not only that, it's rude to the other people who came on time and who are already sitting in the theatre.
The guy who worked at the movie theatre told me that this is quite commonplace. That really surprised me.
