Vodka really is good for everything....

Dorothy, Jen, and a British girl named Serian went to Dorothy's to learn how to make hurshuur and soivan. Dorothy's Mongolian language teacher Nandia was our instructor, and really, she did most of the work. Hurshuur are like greasy perogies. We made them with beef instead of mutton. When we got to the stage where we had to roll the dough, Nandia was distressed that we did not have a rolling pin. However, Dorothy discovered the perfect solution- a bottle of vodka. We coated the bottle with flour and rolled the dough with that. (and yes, I took pictures of Jen rolling the dough with the vodka bottle. Very funny)
It turns out that I have a talent for making hurshuur. Jen and Dorothy thought the pinching of the hurshuur was similar to making wontons, but I disagree. It's more like perogies. (When my father and I made wontons, they always ended up looking way too testicular. This was according to my beloved parental unit, not I).
Anyway, we ate our creation and then Dorothy's friend Jess came by to drink. After a while we decided that we needed chococolate (me) and vodka (Jess), so we went to Sky centre for supplies. Jen and I played "Dance Dance Revolution". Oh my god! I have a new love. I was half cut when I played it, but I love it.
Anyway, they stayed on to watch a movie, and I came back home to write another section. The report is coming along very nicely, even though it's hot as hell here today, and it's rather difficult to work in the heat.
