One of the stories that I want to submit to the anthology is missing a paragraph. I know what happens in that paragraph, but I went looking for the hard copy to see just what I'd written. I didn't find that particular story, but I found some other stories I'd written in high school and early university. I'm going to read them later today.

It's good to look at your old art. Yesterday I got nostalgic and was listening to my friend's first cd. It's really rough around the edges, but you can see some of the strengths and know that there's some talent there.

Anyway, I like it when I feel good about my stuff. Most of the time I just do it because I love it, because it means something to me and I enjoy it. When I look at something and think, "Hey, that's not bad," the whole process gets even better.

That sounds just like my nana. It's really weird - and she spends way more time talking to my boyfriend than she does to me, telling him he's so handsome and such a gentleman, etc. Not that she's ever rude to me, or her other female friends and relatives, just that we always come second.
