Oct. 27th, 2003 02:38 pmToday, I am interminably bored, which is of course better than being terminally bored, because well, that sounds fatal.
So I'll tell you what I read last week:
"The Snow leopard" by Peter Mathiessen- The story of two explorers in Nepal searching for snowleopards. This was pretty interesting. I liked the Buddhist philosophy, but found some of the trekking info to be a bit dry.
"The Torn skirt" by Rebecca Godfrey- This is about a teenage runaway living in Victoria, BC. It started off really good, but I didn't like the ending. [Bad username or site: @ livejournal.com], you might like this because it includes details about Victoria in the 80s, which was sort of interesting.
"You are being lied to; a cultural disinformation reader"- I've been reading some essays in this book. It's about media coverups and lesser known theories. It's interesting, but has revealed the fact that my knowledge of American politics and history is very limited.
I guess that's the shortcoming of majoring in International Studies. I studied a great deal about other countries, but didn't learn a lot about North America.
