1. I've been obsessed with reading the "Dear Canada" series. I love them. They're fictional, diaries about the history of Canada. I learn some history and entertain myself at the same time. I've read 4 of them, and I'm starting on my fifth. There are nine in the series.
2. "Quixotic Erotic" by Tamai Kobayashi- I had to read this collection of lesbian erotica and review it. I found that I don't really like hardcore lesbian erotica, and I find erotica boring if it doesn't have a plot and merely consists of sex.
3. "The Left Hand of Darkness" by Ursula K. Leguin- I liked the premise better than the plot. The story is about a man from Earth who is investigating a world where everyone is androgynous, and bisexual. It's pretty interesting. This book was heavy, and I felt like I was missing things. I wish I'd studied it in a class.
4. "Palestine" by Joe Sacco- I've been reading this one for a while. It's riveting, but so brutal that I can't read a lot of it at a time. Sacco is a journalist who publishes his work in comic book form. He travelled to Palestine and wrote a series of comics about the Gaza strip.
5. "Visions of Sugar Plums" by Janet Evanovich- Just a bit too short. But on the other hand, a fun read for people like me, who need more Stephanie Plum.
6. "Treasure Island" by Robert Louis Stevenson- I just read this one for the first time and really enjoyed it.
7. "The Great Gatsby" by F. Scott Fitzgerald- Re-read this one. Liked it better the second time.
