The job stuff is also depressing because I've been here almost a year, and quite frankly, I'm tired of the whole underemployment/job search thing. I just want it to end and I'm not sure what I should do any more. I need to spend the rest of the day NOT thinking.

I've been there too, it's tedious and depressing sometimes. You're smart and capable and it shouldn't be this hard.
